I was extremely happy to have the opportunity to publish Open Access in Journal of Experimental Biology through the Read & Publish agreement with the University of Ottawa. As this is my first publication as a graduate student, it is incredibly meaningful to know that my research is freely accessible to a wide audience. I am very grateful to The Company of Biologists for their support and for providing such a positive publishing experience. I was also delighted to learn about The Forest of Biologists initiative, which plants a tree for every article published, supporting both the environment and researchers.
