The whole process of publishing with The Company of Biologists in Journal of Experimental Biology was smooth and quick, and I was very happy to discover that Lund University was part of its Read & Publish agreement. Publication fees can be a considerable constraint, especially for early-career researchers like me, so it’s great that there are agreements, such as this one, that allow us to share our work freely with the scientific community. I was also excited to learn that a tree has been planted for our paper, such a great initiative!
