The Company of Biologists is a not-for-profit publishing organisation dedicated to supporting the biological community.

In response to the invasion of Ukraine, we have taken the following actions:

We have suspended trials and sales of our products and services in Russia and Belarus.

Our content is freely available in Ukraine through the Research4Life initiative.

In support of the open exchange of scientific information globally, we will continue to publish research content from Russia and Belarus, following the advice of the industry body COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics):

"Editorial decisions should not be affected by the origins of the manuscript, including the nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, or religion of the authors. Decisions to edit and publish should not be determined by the policies of governments or other agencies outside of the journal itself."
