Metabolism – the integrated network of biochemical reactions that provides energy, generates cellular building blocks and regulates cellular functions – lies at the heart of life. Over the past decade, advances in cell biology, genetics, imaging, modelling and systems-level approaches have revealed that metabolism is a dynamic and highly regulated driver of cell fate, tissue development and organismal health. This meeting brings together researchers from diverse disciplines to explore the latest discoveries at the interface of cell biology, developmental biology and disease modelling, fostering discussion, collaboration, and new insights into how metabolic regulation shapes both normal physiology and disease pathology.
